Watercolor painting "First Hunt" sketch by Yuan Li

A watercolor sketch that I intentionally tried to paint as quickly as possible. I called it "First Hunt". The reaction of a young girl with a sharp axe when she is suddenly frightened by something terrible.
I think there is a very effective exercise to improve painting technique quickly. It's about setting yourself a time limit and trying to finish the painting in that time. For example, you can set an hour, half an hour, fifteen minutes, or five minutes, depending on the situation.
