Harry potter and the chamber of secrets a commissioned work by Yuan Li

First, I watched the film twice (a process that was quite enjoyable, at least the first time😅). I then collected a large number of stage and reference images, which was a lot of work — before the work even really started. The hardest part of the job was finding the right templates. I was supposed to recreate the characters in the films as closely as possible, which meant I couldn't just draw them the way I wanted them to be. The problem was that the children in the films gradually grow up and their appearance sometimes changes significantly. The adult characters also age and change slightly from film to film. This makes it particularly difficult to find appropriate reference material, especially for the supporting characters. 😑
